Tom Nichols wrote a book about the death of expertise. His point is that people nowadays don’t trust the experts when it comes to various issues. I think he’s write, people are idiots and for some reason they won’t listen to people who actually know what they are talking about. The reason people don’t trust experts is probably because of the internet. I’ll take some of the blame for that. Posting this dump right here is highlighting that even experts make mistakes, or at least people who aren’t experts end up in jobs they don’t deserve to be in.
